The Viva Fund

Growing the Next Generation of Grassroots Leaders

In October, 2011 EcoViva launched the Viva Fund in honor of two of our key co-founders, Juancho Donahue and Hal Baron.

The Viva Fund supports youth empowerment work critical for building the next generation of grassroots leaders promoting social justice and sustainability in Central America.

Over the last 15 years, EcoViva has supported the growth of individual and collective leadership amongst our partner communities in El Salvador. A number of these community leaders have gone on to become important decision-makers in both local and national government.

Through the Viva Fund, EcoViva’s partners will be able to continue cultivating youth leadership so that traditionally marginalized, rural communities can participate proactively in determining the future of their country.

To donate to the Viva Fund, please visit our donation page and choose "Viva Fund for Youth Leadership" under the Program Designation menu.
